Abrasive Wheels with Practical (Cutting/Grinding)

To provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the hazards associated with the use of abrasive wheels and to comply with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) in the safe mounting of abrasive wheels and discs on portable machinery. This course will also include a practical session in the safe use of cutting discs on Angle Grinders and Cut Off Saws.

About this course

This programme is designed for any person who may be required to use an abrasive or diamond wheel in the workplace, or who requires familiarisation with the associated regulations.

Delivery

Classroom-based tutorials and demonstrations. Workshop-based practical exercise in the selection and mounting of abrasive and diamond wheels as well as the cutting of materials using these wheels.

Location

This course can be delivered on your premises or at a location suitable to you.

Construction Skills People accredited certificate or NPORS Card/Certificate

Additional Information

If NPORS accreditation is required, delegates will need to provide a passport photograph at the start of the course. NPORS registration is £35.00 per person.

For training held at your own locations please ensure you can make available a suitable room, which can comfortably accommodate with seating the number of delegates attending. We will also require a 240v power supply.
